Use the thank-you page for the next step

Someone who has just submitted a form is paying close attention to whatever comes next. The “thank you page” is one of the few pages on your website almost everyone will look at carefully. Yet many sites simply show a plain “Thanks!” or “Order Confirmed.” and stop there.

We can use that moment to build a stronger relationship with the visitor and make the next step easier to take. First, confirm what happens next, like “We’ll email you within one business day.” Then offer one related step, such as booking a call or reading a short case study. Keeping it to a single option makes it easy to act on, while a long list of links can pull attention in different directions.
