Use urgency only when it’s real

Urgency can push people to act. A countdown timer or a label that says “only 2 left” gives people a reason to decide now, and that can lift conversions. But the urgency has to be real for it to be effective.

If a deadline resets every time the page reloads, visitors who notice may stop believing your other claims too. It’s safer to use urgency only for real limits, like an event date, a price increase or a group program that’s actually filling up. For example, “Early pricing ends Oct 31” is a specific and true claim, and it gives people a real reason to act without tricking them.
