People want an expert, not a salesperson

For an agency or freelancer, getting someone to book a call with you is the final step that transforms them from a visitor into a prospect. To get more people to make this step, you have to make it enticing for them.

No one wants to book a call, only to be sold for an hour straight. They want to learn, they want to grow, they want to get their problem solved. Sales isn’t evil, and the best customers will love your pitch, but you can’t just try to extract money from people without giving anything in return.

If you’re a freelancer or agency owner, you’re probably already an expert in your field. You probably already transmit some of that expertise in your sales conversations. Simply highlighting this fact on your contact page will likely increase conversions. You want to come across as a human being, not a robot.
